Getting Ready For Your Photoshoot
To help make our time together as productive as possible, here are some tips for preparing for our shoot:
1. Clothing:
Bring a minimum of five outfits with you to our shoot, along with any jewelry or hair accessories you’d like to complete them. Casual or formal wear is welcome, as are more whimsical pieces. I want this shoot to really reflect who you are so, if you have a cocktail dress you’d like to bring, great! It’s equally wonderful if you bring something flowing and fun. (As a side note, if you have a dress that you adore but it’s a little too loose/snug, bring it anyway! We can make it work.) Color, texture, patterns, props… I love them all! The only thing I don’t love is clothing that is extremely baggy and hides your shape completely. You’re beautiful as you are so there’s no need hide behind clothing. There is also no need to bring shoes for each outfit unless you’d specifically like to be photographed with them on.
If you’ll have another person with you in the photos (significant other/friend/child), please be sure they’re also prepared with several coordinating outfits as well.

2. Preparation:
Since everyone wants to look their best in front of the camera, please be sure to do the following in advance of your photos:
- Wax/pluck brows
- Shave
- Exfoliate
- Whiten teeth
- Clean & trim nails (Bare nails or nude/neutral polish is best)
- Touch up any roots that may be showing (and that you don’t want to be seen)
- Get plenty of sleep the night before
- Drink plenty of water
Note: Spray tanning is not recommended near the time of your shoot.
3. The Day of Your Shoot:
Arrive with a clean face and hair. I like to start with a blank canvas that we’ll work together on to create something extraordinary – just like you! You’re welcome to bring your own music to listen to during the shoot if it will help your relax or create a certain mood you’d like to capture in your photos.

How do I set up an appointment to meet you in person and see some of your work?
To set up an appointment for initial meeting, just send an email with your preferred days and times to .
How do I book a photo session with you?
Booking a photoshoot with MC Photography LLC is a breeze, just send an email including your information, contact number, and your preferred date and time. It is also very helpful to provide a short biography and a photograph of yourself.
Is there additional fee if we pay via credit card?
An additional 5% fee of the total amount can avoided by paying cash or in checks. Checks are made payable to MC Photography LLC.
How long will the photoshoot take?
For portraits project, hair and makeup takes about an hour, photoshoot takes about 2 hours.
For weddings, the length of contracted time varies.
Do I need to sign a contract? Model release?
Yes. Definitely. This is MC Photography LLC’s procedure that all clients must abide to. Without signing the service contract and the model release, MC Photography LLC can’t provide you services.
Can I bring a friend along?
Sure. The more the merrier. It also helps to get comfortable to have a friend along with you or a member of the family.

Do you have packages?
MC Photography LLC does not provide any sort of packages. Images start at $85 and go up from there. MC Photography LLC’s pricing model is very simple and you can create package that is customize to meet your needs and never end up with stuff you do not need. What is the weather doesn’t cooperate?
If it rains during your shoot, we have two options:
1. Cancel the shoot and reschedule; or
2. Go on with the shoot and play in the rain.
If it’s thunderstorm, tornado, snowstorm, Hail storm, etc. Jeez, no questions asked, we will definitely call the photoshoot and reschedule.
Do you do Corporate Headshots?
Yes. You’re a girl, you’re my business. And my job is to make you look and feel beautiful. Your corporate headshot does NOT have to look boring.
What is philosophy regarding photography?
I believe that every woman is beautiful. My goal is for every women I photograph to experience it as I see it through my lens. I know beautiful when I see it. And I also believe in a healthy amount of self-love and self-respect because we can’t give what we don’t have.
What is your photography style?
I am a very intuitive creator. I make simple, creative and fashion-inspired portraits. Romantic softness is apparent in my photography with a vintage touch.
When can we expect to see/receive the images?
Delivery time for pictures/products is about 4 weeks depending on the time of year.
What is your refund policy?
All monies paid to MC Photography LLC are NON-REFUNDABLE. All products are custom made for the customer/client, therefore, MC Photography LLC does not accept returns. All sales are final.
When is my first payment due?
When you place your product order, MC Photography LLC requires a 50% of the total amount of product order, for deposit. Deposit is non-refundable.
Do I get the digital negatives of the photos?
A CD of all the images, fully-edited and high resolution, is included with a minimum purchase (does not include photographer’s fee). You can then enjoy all your beautiful photographs and share them on social medias with friends and family.
I would ask about rights to the photos; some photographers let you have the digital rights, others keep them.
MC Photohraphy LLC owns the images and its copyright. In addition, MC Phography LLC prides itself in delivering quality products and works of art. Digital images are included with a minimum purchase, inluded is the “Print Release” granting clients permission to reproduce the images and make an unlimited number of prints, for personal use only. Clients must agree NOT use any of MC Photography LLC images for commercial or editorial purposes; duplicate the CD/DVD of images; edit, manipulate or alter the electronic files; make “derivate works” of the images or otherwise modify; reference or credit without permission written or orally, that MC Photography LLC produced the images; sell any image or electronic files supplied by MC Photography LLC or enter any MC Photography LLC images into competition without the express written permission of MC Photography LLC.
When and how will I receive my photos?
In most cases, during the final meeting with MC Photography LLC, ordered products will be delivered. And final payment must be received during the final meeting. MC Photography LLC reserves the right to withhold delivery of the products/photos if the final payment is not received.
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
MC Photography LLC reserves the creative right to edit and release or deliver ONLY those images deemed professional in quality and with MC Photography LLC’s artistic standards.
Do you touch up all the images on our image DVD?
Part of my branding is to process all images. So therefore, the images you will receive in your image DVD/CD are processed.
What do you mean by “touching up” the photos?
I prefer to call it “processing” than “touching up”, but you get the idea. The image processing includes, blemish removal, cloning, cleaning up, teeth whitening, etc.
How many images do you typically deliver from the photoshoot?
The number of images will depend on the project or job and the length of the shoot.
When and where do I view my photos?
You will receive a notification once your images are ready for viewing. This meeting will be set up based on your availability and MC Photography LLC’s which will take place either at your house or a café. In this meeting, you will also be picking out your favorite images and products so it is best to have other members of family who will be involved in the decision-making be present.
When I receive my image DVD, and it was damaged, how do I get it replaced?
If it was damaged during shipping, MC Photography LLC will replace it at no cost to you. However, if it was damaged due to other reasons or mishandled, MC Photography LLC will not be liable for it and therefore you will have to purchase a replacement CD/DVD.
What if I lost my image DVD?
MC Photography LLC will not be liable for any lost image DVD/CD and therefore you will have to purchase a replacement CD/DVD.
How long does it take to get my prints?
It takes about 3 weeks after your order has been placed.
How long does it take to get my album?
The albums that MC Photography LLC offer are of premium quality and it takes about 8 weeks for it to be processed. Therefore, in saying that, it is important to pick out images promptly.
What kinds of albums do you offer?
There are four (4) different albums that MC Photography offers:

Can I add more pages and images to my album?
Yes, definitely. You can add as many additional pages or images in your album for a minimal cost. However, MC Photography LLC reserves the creative right to edit the number of images in each page of the album to ensure quality of the product.
Do you provide framing services as well?
Yes, MC Photography LLC provides custom framing services. For inquiries about pricing, please send an email to .
Do you provide online gallery?
No, unfortunately not. When images are ready for viewing, the viewing is done in-person and a meeting is set up.
I/We live out-of-town. Is it possible for our family/friends to meet you instead?
It is an option, but if family and friends aren’t part of the decision-making process, going this route is not all going to work. There are still other options such as setting up a day and time to do Skype call when we can discuss and able to see each other.
I’m/We’re really busy and won’t be able to meet, what are other options?
As I mentioned in the above question, doing a Skype call is the best way to go.
Do you travel to meet clients?
Yes. I have done a number of long distance travel to meet and do a photoshoot with clients. Please note that a minimal travel charge will be added to the total amount of products and services. Locations over 50 miles roundtrip away from New Brighton, Minnesota will be assessed a travel fee to help cover costs associated with travel to and from the photoshoot such a gas, car wear and tear, hotel stays, etc. Fees vary depending on the location.

What should I wear or bring?

How many clothing or set changes do you allow for in a session?
You can bring 5 or more outfits– something fitted, something black, something casual, something shiny, anything you want. You can change for as many times as you want. Please note that I will pick out the outfits that I think would look great on you. If you want to be photographed wearing your favorite dress or top, I will be happy to obliged. Remember that my goal is to make portraits of you that would blow your mind.
Is there a minimum number of hours you require the client to book for a wedding or family shoot?
Weddings, usually are contracted hours, and varies a lot– from 6-hour to 9-hour shoot/event. Family photoshoot is a different story, you have a long session and you’ll lose the kids’ attention. Contemporary glamour on the other hand takes longer because of hair and make up and outfits change, so 3 hour is usually suffiecient. So the quick answer to the question will be, “No” I do not require a minimum number of hours for clients to book a session with me. If a client wants a photoshoot for 1 hour, I can provide beautiful photographs in such a short time. Clients’ needs are different. That is the main reason why I do not have a package system, I do not want clients to end up with a bunch of stuff they do not need and end up throwing. I prioritize quality over quantity. It is like a kid going to a birthday party and end up with a goodie bag filled with stuff that the kid doesn’t really care for.
Can I bring accessories or props to be used during the photo shoot?
You are welcome to bring anything that would help enhance the photoshoot and that reflects your personality.

What time do you arrive on the location and how long will you shoot?
MC Photography LLC will arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to the scheduled start of shooting. This will allow for time to setup gear, test lighting and get an idea of venue. Shooting time depends on the session or time contracted.
If my event lasts longer than expected, will you stay? Is there an additional charge?
MC Photography LLC is committed to providing you the best service possible so if your event lasts longer than your purchased package duration, MC Photography LLC will stay and shoot the rest of the event with your permission. You will be notified about the change and additional hours can be purchased.
When should we do our engagement session?
Some people like to use their engagement pictures for ‘save the dates’ and other wedding planning materials. Be sure to allow time for editing after your session. On average, couples usually have their engagement pictures done about 6-8 months before their wedding.
PHOTO PROCESSING
Do you shoot in color and black and white?
MC Photography LLC processes images in color and black and white. Using artistic discretion when editing, some of the images might be black and white or have other special tone affects added depending on the mood.
Do you touch up all the images that we receive?
Yes, the post processing includes teeth whitening, special tone effects, black and white, blemish removal, red-eye correction, cloning, skin tone enhancement, and many more.
Is it possible to take the wrinkles out?
Yes, definitely. In saying that, images may be edited at MC Photography LLC’s discretion. MC Photography LLC reserves the creative right to edit and release only those deemed professional in quality and within the company’s artistic standards.
WEDDING
Do you do destination weddings? Or do you do weddings at all?
MC Photography LLC specializes in capturing beauty of women ages 2-92. If you choose and prefer MC Photography LLC capture your beauty in this most memorable and beautiful day of your life, the honor is mine. Thank you. And if you choose to have you wedding in a location that requires traveling, there will be minimal travel charges.
What if we exceed our contracted time for our engagement shoot and/or wedding day coverage?
MC Photography LLC strives to be prompt and early during the photoshoot. A day before the shoot, MC Photography spends about an hour to visit the site or location for the shoot to test light quality and plan composition for the photoshoot. Another extra hour is spent to set up equipment and do some test to ensure everything is going to work, these two extra hours are at no cost to you. However, if you have exceeded the contracted time for the shoot, say, you thought of a pose that you would like to do or you wanted to change into another outfit or you wanted to go to another location, then there will be a minimal extra charge per hour.
If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our deposit back?
It would be heartbreaking to hear that you will not push through your wedding plans. However, all monies paid to MC Photography LLC are NON-REFUNDABLE. You can use the deposit as credits toward products.
If we change our wedding to a different date, will we be able to use our deposit towards a future date?
Yes, absolutely. But please understand that MC Photography LLC must be notified in writing 3 months before the initial date. Failure to do so will result in forfeit of the deposit because MC Photography LLC blocked your date and therefore can’t accept booking on that date.
